Esta historia es de un anciano viudo que vive en Sicilia, un día decide  realizar una visita sorpresa  a sus cinco hijos que viven dispersos en varias ciudades de la península italiana: Nápoles, Roma, Florencia, Milán y Turín. Este hombre se enorgullecía de la educación que  les avía dado a cada uno de ellos, convencido de que sus hijos han escaldo en sus vidas, sin sospechar  que en realidad  le  habían ocultado por años embarazos precoces, divorcio y muchos más secretos.

Este repentino viaje  provoca entre los hermanos una situación de locura ya que por todos los medios quieren ocultar la muerte de uno de ellos, pero esta es la punta del Iceberg de las mentiras que por años le avían dado a su padre.

Después de enterarse  de la muerte de su hijo  y  aceptar una  realidad que estaba muy lejos de la que se avía creado por tantos años, decide visitar la tumba de su esposa reuniéndose con sus emociones y asegurándole  que sus hijos “a pesar de todo son buenas personas” .
