“AKA…What A Life!”, lo nuevo de Noel Gallagher

Si eres seguidor de Oasis, probablemente también lo seas de Beady Eye y del proyecto en solitario de Noel Gallagher. Y es que aunque los hermanitos ya no estén juntos su música sigue teniendo reminiscencias de lo que todavía hoy podemos considerar como sus buenos tiempos. De superar aquellos años solo queda en su mano y en la capacidad que tengan de entrarle a la gente.

Quien parece que lo está haciendo bien es Noel Gallagher. En Cuchara Sónica ya hemos podido escuchar tres canciones de su disco debut, High Flying Birds. Concretamente “The Good Rebel”-que aparecerá como cara B-, “The Death Of You And Me” y “If I Had A Gun”. De las tres, solo la última es considerada como single. Por eso, para seguir promocionando la publicación del CD que será el próximo 17 de octubre, Noel sigue aprovechándose de Internet para dar a conocer un poco más su obra.

Esta vez a través de YouTube, el artista ha colgado “AKA…What A Life!” que a primera escucha suena algo diferente a los demás adelantos:

Como podemos apreciar, el sonido de este nuevo tema se aleja de clasicismos y casi roza el dance. Es más, la melodía principal se basa en un patrón de piano que se repite a lo largo de los más de cuatro minutos que dura el track. Pocas guitarras eléctricas y convencionalismos que puedan relacionarla con el rock.

A pesar de ello, es una canción con gancho, con un estribillo pegadizo y una dinámica interesante. Sin embargo, el último tercio del tema se hace un poco más pesado porque el ritmo no da un respiro y puede hacerse demasiado repetitivo. El propio Noel ha comentado que es uno de sus cortes favoritos, así que quizá haya más como éste en el disco o sea la estela musical que quiere seguir en el futuro.

Este nuevo single será oficialmente lanzado hoy 11 de septiembre junto a una nueva cara B titulada “Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me”.
