Ganglians en el estilo del surf / folk / punk / rock

En Sacramento, California se encuentran cuatro rockeros que formaron Ganglians. No se ha preocupado demasiado por integrarse al mundo del internet, de ahí que a estas alturas del partido no poseen ni siquiera un sitio oficial y tampoco hay muchos datos acerca de su biografía o las razones detrás de su unión. Lo que sí sabemos es que el grupo debutó en el 2009 con un álbum titulado Monster Head Room, al que le siguieron un par de EP’S con los que la banda demostró su capacidad para crear temas surf/folk/punk/rock de agradables texturas y uno que otro grito. El cuarteto privilegia las guitarras y la producción lo-fi para recrear tiempos pasados y esconderse detrás de la reverberación de épocas teñidas de maravilla por el paso del tiempo.

El grupo lanzó en agosto su segunda producción discográfica en forma titulada Still Living, un disco en el que han bajado un poco los tonos dejando de lado el punk y la psicodelia para darle mayor peso al surf/folk. El álbum también representa para ellos un cambio de disquera y esperemos que un poco más de presencia virtual pues realmente han sido muy perezosos a la hora de contarnos toda su historia.

Por lo pronto les recomiendo que visiten el sitio de su disquera, Lefse Records, los agreguen en Facebook, se hagan sus amigos en Myspace o los sigan en Twitter. Para que los conozcan un poco más sobre su material escuchen “Blood on the Sand”, uno de sus temas anteriores y después el vídeo de “Bradley”, el más reciente sencillo de su nuevo disco. Por cierto, y ya para terminar, la banda actualmente se encuentra dando una serie de conciertos por Europa.
